Objectives

Develop an air treatment system using UV radiation to protect swine farms from aerosol-transmitted diseases, adaptable and modular for all types of swine buildings.

Specifically:
 

• Develop a system for treating incoming air (direct aseptization at the building's air intake).
• Develop a system for treating outgoing air (odor and methane treatment).
• Design an adaptable and modular concept for all existing building types, allowing the implementation of the air treatment system.
• Ensure the air treatment concept is economically viable.
• Deliver a functional prototype installed in a building, ready for demonstration at the end of the project.
