Objectives

The overall objective to the project is to design the structure and functioning of a virtual platform to efficiently manage data from Quebec’s pork sector, from farm to slaughterhouse. This initiative aims to reduce redundant data entry, enable data sharing among partners, support real-time indicator monitoring, and allow for more in-depth data analysis.

The specific objectives are to propose:

  • Concrete solutions to technical challenges (e.g., type of platform, standards, etc.);

  • A sound governance structure (data ownership, access, usage, etc.);

  • A sustainable financial model (industry contribution, return on investment).
