Reduce the crude protein content of feed for pigs and broilers by adjusting the intake of essential amino acids as needed, thereby reducing nitrogen excretion and the associated environmental impacts.

Different strategies for reducing crude protein intake will be tested in pigs and broiler chickens and the environmental impact will be assessed by carrying out life cycle analyses of these same strategies in the Canadian context.
