Objectives
Evaluate the effectiveness of artificial intelligence in controlling ambient conditions on the comfort of finishing pigs, zootechnical performance, and energy efficiency.
Specifically:
- Assess the impact of using AI-controlled ventilation during summer on:
- Ambient conditions during hot periods (temperature offset due to the building's thermal inertia and ventilation strategies).
- Zootechnical performance of pigs (average daily gain, feed conversion ratio, mortality).
- Water consumption and energy efficiency (electricity consumption).
- Evaluate the impacts of using AI-controlled ventilation during winter on:
- Ambient conditions (temperature stability and CO2/NH3 concentration levels).
- Energy efficiency (propane consumption).
- Conduct a techno-economic analysis of the use of AI in ventilation systems.
- Disseminate results to transfer knowledge and facilitate the adoption of this technology.
